The difficulty of access to housing means that homeless people are forced to adapt to a life of constant movement, becoming involuntary nomads.

For thousands of years, humanity has explored as nomads in search of new territories and better living conditions. As nomads moved, they carried with them essential items that varied according to their culture and the geographical environment in which they found themselves.

Today, contemporary nomadism manifests itself in a variety of forms, including homelessness. Despite differences in the motives and circumstances that have led them to this situation, they all share a wandering spirit.

On city streets, homeless people find shelter in places such as ATMs and porches, carrying with them what they consider to be essentials, including some belongings that transform a simple ATM or porch into a temporary shelter, whether it be cardboard to insulate them from the damp ground or blankets to protect them from the cold.

To carry their possessions from one place to another, they resort to everyday objects such as backpacks, bags or shopping trolleys. These objects, which for most people are simple and functional tools, take on a different meaning. They are not just utensils for carrying things, but the safeguarding of what they value.

The object, which forms an integral part of the homeless person's life by carrying all their belongings, has the capacity to become in itself an atmosphere, delimiting a personal territory in the middle of a shared public space. Following this concept, the idea arose of modifying a conventional cloth shopping trolley to incorporate a mat inside it, adding an additional function: the possibility of sleeping.

From the outside, the trolley maintains its original appearance, however, the bag contains a rolled-up mat inside that unfolds when the user wishes to rest, offering a comfortable solution in their usual places of refuge.
